The median U.S. household income before taxes increased 4% from 2022 to 2023, rising from $77,540 to $80,610, according to the latest household income data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Meanwhile, the median post-tax household income rose 3.7% from 2022 to 2023, increasing from $66,800 to $69,240.
