UPDATE: Incoming weather prompts warnings, watches

The National Weather Service has issue a pair of alerts ahead of incoming storms this evening including the latest — a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 8:15 p.m. tonight.
According to the NWS, the severe weather could bring with it 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. The storms are capable of producing heavy rainfall. One to two inches of rain are possible.
The area is also under a tornado watch until 11 p.m. tonight.
