PRESENCE explores personal and political relationships through Forum Theatre, Playback Theatre, poetry, music and dance.
~ We investigate power dynamics through artistic means, using techniques like Cop in the Head, Screen Image, Three Wishes, and Lightning Forum to gently and playfully coax change to occur.
~We focus on issues such as bullying, racial disparities, domestic violence, and struggles within one’s own soul.
~We are dedicated to humanizing the “adversary”, in order to more fully engage in dialogue with them.
~We are based in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, and we also work in Africa and Europe.
