Mixed Company Theatre uses Forum Theatre to facilitate community dialogue and social change. Forum Theatre becomes a powerful vehicle for communities to voice their dreams, challenges and hopes, while also connecting with each other deeply. Forum Theatre is most effective when community members experience and understand the value of each of the 6 major elements or steps to creating Forum Theatre.
We hope that the various communities we have worked with in the past find this video series helpful so they can recall and replay Forum Theatre initiatives.
We invite community members, organizations, leaders, changemakers, artists, educators, facilitators and/or any agent of change in our society, to use these videos as a guide to engage communities in this way! We do strongly believe that anyone interested in engaging communities through Forum Theatre must first receive training and mentoring to ensure safe, and effective practice.
