Bradley “Brad” Peterson, 64

Bradley “Brad” Emil Peterson, passed away at his home outside of Le Roy, MN. He was 64 years old.

A celebration of life will be held at the Le Roy Community Center on Saturday, Oct. 19th, from 2 – 4pm.

Brad was born on Oct 5th, 1959 and plans were being made for his upcoming 65th birthday. Brad was the son of Howard and Betty (Johnson) Peterson, who were crop and dairy farmers in Le Roy.

Brad graduated from Le Roy-Ostrander High School in 1978. He continued to work on the family farm as a dairy farmer. He won several awards for the quality of milk being produced and took great pride in that. After his parents retired and sold off the dairy herd, Brad worked at a few places before beginning work at Hormel in Austin, MN.

Brad was used to hard work and worked different lines at Hormel. He enjoyed the people that he worked with and many remember his wicked humor. He retired from Hormel after 25 years.

Brad was diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome (pulmonary fibrosis) in 2022 and needed constant oxygen.

Brad was proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings: Lynn (Chris) Peterson, Lila (Rodney) Pierce, Kelly Peterson and Scott (Jennifer) Peterson. His nephews: Ryan Pierce, Justin (Lexy) Pierce and Ty Peterson and nieces: Amber (Jason) Broughton and Serena Peterson. A number of cousins in Minnesota and around the US.

Brad will be remembered for his wit and humor. He loved teasing people and winning at the card game 500, his love for owls, forests and nature. He took pride in maintaining his large yard and garden.
